Hallett Movers has specialized in academic, public and private library relocation for the past fifty years. Hallett is the leading expert in dismantling, moving and re-assembling shelving. 

For internal moves we have developed and refined a specialized “Range Mover” to assist libraries in re-carpeting and reconfiguration projects. This “Range Mover” enables entire shelving units to be moved without having to remove a single book. In addition to moving large libraries, we have adapted our moving system to smaller communities and specialized libraries as well. 

Hallett Movers was established in 1937, and was incorporated into the State of Illinois September 1, 1960. We are a family-owned business operated by the 2nd and 3rd generations who are strongly committed to customer service. We provide hands-on management, proud of our past performance and determined to continue in the same tradition. In September 2021, Hallett received Woman Owned certified vendor status under the state of Illinois Business Enterprise Program (BEP).
