Electronic Resource Analyst, Oakland, CA

The California Digital Library (CDL) invites applications for the position of Electronic Resource Analyst. The position offers a leadership opportunity to provide systemwide services in a world-renowned public university. More information about the CDL is available online.

Working under the direction of the Director, Collections, the incumbent has primary responsibility for leading the CDL's development of technical standards and policy pertaining to licensed resources and for ensuring that licensed resources possess superior functionality that meets the educational and research needs of UC students and faculty. As part of this responsibility, the incumbent chairs the CDL committee that prioritizes and resolves technical issues with vendors, pursues desired enhancements, and builds and maintains positive relationships with vendor technical and product development staff. The incumbent is also responsible for managing the CDL's Resource Liaison Program, recruiting and working closely with over 100 UC campus librarians on vendor issues and ongoing management of licensed electronic resources. Electronic Resources Cataloger, Ann Arbor, MI

Acquisitions Librarian & Clinical Assistant Professor, Chicago, IL

The University Library of the University of Illinois at Chicago seeks a dynamic and knowledgeable librarian to improve its traditional acquisitions processes for print materials, contribute to ongoing development of effective models for acquiring electronic resources, and participate in the transition to a new technical services structure that re-emphasizes fast, accurate, and efficient processing. Working in close cooperation with Collections Development, Cataloging, Systems, and other departments, the Acquisitions Librarian will oversee the expenditure of a materials budget of more than $8 million for an ARL library with a significant health sciences component. Integrated Systems Librarian, Brookings, SD

Head, Special Formats and Metadata Section, Chapel Hill, NC

The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill seeks a knowledgeable and service-oriented librarian to head the Special Formats and Metadata Section in the Resource Description and Management Department (RDM). The Special Formats and Metadata Section includes two other librarians and two paraprofessional staff responsible for cataloging a diverse array of materials, including music sound recordings and scores, media resources, theses and dissertations, and cartographic materials. The Head also will provide expertise and guidance in the evaluation and implementation of metadata schemas. Library Faculty Positions, San Antonio, TX

St. Philip's College Learning Resource Center will be posting several library faculty positions. The minimum education is an ALA-accredited Master's degree in Library and Information Science or its equivalent. No
experience is necessary, will train. The ideal candidates will be student oriented, work as a member of a team and be willing to participate in evening and weekend rotations. Cataloging/Metadata Librarian, Ewing, NJ

The College of New Jersey is seeking candidates to fill a 12-month, tenure-track position at the TCNJ Library.

Catalog library materials in all formats and languages. Perform authority work and maintain authority files. Create metadata using both traditional and emerging metadata schema. Collaborate and provide significant guidance on the creation and development of library digital projects. Engage in scholarly and service activities expected of
tenure-track librarians.

LAC is seeking a Cataloger for the Library Headquarters of the Los Angeles County Public Library System in Downey, CA. This is a full time position for approximately four months. All employees must pass a fingerprint background clearance prior to beginning employment with the Library Department.

Will provide original and high level cataloging using OCLC. Must be able to catalog in one of more of these languages: Arabic, Asian, Hebrew or Russian.
