Library Consulting Services' principal, Philip N. Cronenwett, is Special Collections Librarian Emeritus at Dartmouth College and former director of a private rare book and manuscript library in Cambridge, MA. He holds a doctorate in history and has more than thirty years experience in rare book and manuscript collections in public, private, and academic libraries. Dr. Cronenwett has consulted for private, public, and academic institutions internationally. He has published widely in the areas of polar studies and the history of the book and has lectured on books and manuscripts, libraries, and history on four continents. For his services to the library profession, Dr. Cronenwett was invested with the Knight's Cross of the Order of the Falcon by President Ólafur Ragnar Grímsson of Iceland in 2003.
