A bookmobile is a mobile library vehicle. Through innovative design processes books are shelved inside the bookmobile such that patrons are able to browse the selction when the bookmobile is parked. A mobile library program can serve areas that do not have traditional library buildings. They can also serve the special groups such as patrons that have difficulty traveling to a traditional library, occupants of retirement homes, children and many more. Some mobile libraries carry large print books, audio books, other media, IT equipment, internet access in addition to a full selection of books.
